"In March of 2010 Rosalind and I contracted with Coastal Homes and Sunrooms to build a Lindal Sunroom. After receiving approvals and permits were approved and materials were ordered construction began in May.

Coastal designed a 332 sq. ft. L Shaped Sunroom that accommodated a dining area and connecting sitting area. During each stage of construction we were advised of the process that would take place. Not only were all processes timely but the workers were polite, professional and were extremely conscientious about keeping the home area very clean.

Before we left , we invited our neighbors over for a  look.  They couldn't get over how much it changed the looks of the house  and how big it felt.  They loved the big windows and the dining room  area. We even pulled 4 chairs into the sunroom and there was still plenty of  room.  People loved the color.  You  just gave me the light nudge I needed.  Way to go, partner!  The  soft lighting was a very nice touch, too and was all we needed on.  After  a bit the guys headed out to the patio.  They were amazed that they could  hardly hear the girls talking inside.  And what a riot watching those  guys coming in and trying to open that door for the first time.  No one  is going to want to arm wrestle with me now.  When the beer ran out they  all headed home. I think the Craigs left  excited to start their room.     You gained a lot of respect that night, Wendell.  

When we return we will most certainly  have you and the wonderful, woman who runs your business over. We feel blessed  to have found both a terrific contractor and new friend.

We just wanted to tell you how delighted we are with the outcome of the added room.  Your design and added suggestions were right on  target.  Everybody that sees it can't get over how great it looks and is impressed with the workmanship.  Your crew really outdid themselves.  We cannot find one flaw in the the structure, outside or inside. I'm also impressed with the building time it took your crew to have the structure up, roofed, enclosed, drywalled and painted.  All in two and a half weeks.  By the end of September we had the floor tiled, furniture added and in full use. It passed inspection both by Pulte and the County with flying colors.

I was a customer for Southeast Homes (Wendell Varnes) in 2010/2011. Mr. Varnes was referred to us through Nationwide Homes. The project was a 3/2 coastal, 2 story-2,100 square foot home built on piers.

We were building a part time home in South Carolina but our home state is Georgia. We were nervous about the process since we were out of state and not readily available to be on site. Mr. Varnes made this process very smooth and he was easy to work with. He would always interject his ideas and suggestions throughout the process. We only have to meet a couple of times throughout the entire process. We handled communication via the phone and/or email.

The home turned out beautifully and more importantly well built. The home was built to code and all permits and inspections were done with no issues. There were some "punch list" items as you will have on any new construction and those items were taken care of timely.

Mr. Varnes has good solid employees/contractors that he uses for various stages such as plumbing, sheet rock, paint, electrical, roofing....etc. I personally met many of the subs at the job site and was very comfortable with them and their work.

Mr. Varnes still has a key to my home, even though it is done for some afterthought items I wanted to get done. I have full trust and confidence in him. Mr. Varnes is a man with integrity, ethics and morals and I highly recommend him for any construction job.
